KKR dominate a clueless SRH!

David Warner won the toss, and for the first time this season, a captain winning the Toss opting to bat first, did raise some eyebrows.
SRH batting is mostly dependant on the top-3 to score the bulk of the runs, but with Bairstow going cheaply in the 4th over, the innings never took off. Even though for the brief period of the partnership between Warner and Pandey looked like they were gonna T-off, it never materialized, and Warner was had by the youngster Chakravarthy in the 9th over, to further dent the SRH innings. Manish Pandey was then joined at the centre by Saha, whose struggles were evident. Unable to time the ball after a long break, he huffed and puffed through his innings to score than less a ball at the backend of the innings, with Pandey trying his best get some impetus to the innings with his hitting, and crossed his half century in the 17th over, shortly after which he fell to Russel’s full toss, for a well made 51 of 38 balls, Nabi did hit a couple of boundaries in the end, but the innings never got going and SRH ended with a subpar score of 142-4 in their allocated 20 overs. The chase did not get off to the best of starts for KKR, with Narine departing without troubling the scorers in the 2nd over to Khaleel Ahmed. But a quick fire 26 off 13 balls from Nitish Rana gave the impetus back to KKR, even though Rana and DK departed within a short interval of time.
Morgan joined Shubhman Gill to steady the ship and the duo formed a responsible partnership, and made sure the required run rate never got out of hand. Gill played the Anchor role in the chase, amassing a 62 ball 70* that included 5 fours and 2 sixes, and Morgan finishing with 42* of 29 balls finishing the match off with a six and a four of consecutive balls. The KKR bowlers set up the match led by Cummins, by restricting SRH to just 142 and then Gill and Morgan perfected the chase to seal the match with still two overs and 7 wickets to spare, to register their first win in the Dream 11 IPL 2020, leaving SRH the only team yet to win a game in this years IPL so far, who needs to look at addressing their middle order woes if they are to make progress in this tournament.
